The Verbatim Vi5000 1TB (part 31826) is an internal M.2 2280 solid state drive using the PCI Express 4.0 x4 interface and the NVMe protocol, intended as a boot or data drive upgrade for desktop PCs and laptops with a Gen4 (or backwards-compatible Gen3) M.2 slot. Verbatim rates it at up to 5,000 MB/s sequential read and 4,500 MB/s sequential write, with random 4K performance of up to 645,000 read IOPS and 725,000 write IOPS, which suits gaming, video editing and content creation as well as faster boot and application load times. It uses 3D NAND flash, carries an endurance rating of 1,000 TBW and a 1,000,000-hour MTBF, and operates from 0 to 70 C. The single-sided module measures 22 x 80 x 2.3 mm and weighs just 6.5 g. A quick start guide is included in the box; a screw or heatsink is not listed as included.
