The Verbatim Vi550 S3 2TB is a 2.5-inch, 7 mm SATA III solid state drive for upgrading desktops and laptops. It uses 3D NAND flash with a reliable controller to deliver read speeds of up to 550 MB/s and write speeds of up to 500 MB/s, which is many times faster than a traditional hard drive, so Windows boots faster and applications open quickly. The 2TB capacity leaves plenty of room for your operating system, games, photos and work files. With no moving parts it runs silently, uses little power and resists knocks, with operating shock rated at 1,500 G. The slim 7 mm design fits most laptops and drive bays. Installation by a technician is recommended. It is a simple, cost-effective way to give an older computer a new lease of life.
