This is a Vivotek professional IP security camera aimed at long-range outdoor surveillance — an 8-megapixel sensor at 30fps combined with a 32x optical zoom lens gives it the ability to capture usable detail across a large area (a parking lot, perimeter fence line, or industrial yard) from a single fixed mounting point rather than needing multiple shorter-range cameras. The 250m Smart IR rating means it can maintain clear night-vision illumination out to roughly 250 metres, well beyond a typical fixed-lens camera's IR range. Built to IP66 and NEMA 4X ratings, the housing is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets and corrosive/washdown environments, making it suitable for outdoor installation in harsh South African weather or industrial sites. The listing doesn't specify whether this is a fixed or PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) model, or confirm the exact Vivotek series/part number — worth checking before installation planning.
