The Yamaha HS7I is a 2-way, bi-amplified powered nearfield studio monitor from the HS series, sold as a single unit. The 'I' version adds mounting points on four surfaces so the speaker can be installed on walls or ceilings with brackets, making it popular in post-production suites, broadcast rooms and installations as well as music studios. It uses a 6.5-inch cone woofer and a 1-inch dome tweeter in an MDF bass-reflex cabinet, driven by a 60 W low-frequency plus 35 W high-frequency amplifier (95 W total) with a 2 kHz crossover. Frequency response is 55 Hz to 24 kHz (-3 dB) and 43 Hz to 30 kHz (-10 dB), giving the accurate, uncoloured sound the HS line is known for. Rear-panel ROOM CONTROL and HIGH TRIM switches tailor the response to the room, and XLR and TRS jack inputs accept balanced or unbalanced signals. The cabinet measures 210 x 332 x 284 mm (W x H x D) and weighs about 8.7 kg. Order two for a stereo pair; a power cable is included.
