The Yamaha Rio3224-D2 is a high-capacity 5U rack-mount I/O box (stagebox) that connects directly to a Dante digital audio network. It is designed as a standard component of Yamaha's RIVAGE PM digital mixing systems and is fully compatible with the CL and QL series consoles, letting engineers place high-quality mic preamps on stage or in an equipment room and run everything back to the console over network cable. It provides 32 analogue mic/line inputs, 16 analogue outputs and eight digital AES/EBU outputs, at sample rates of 44.1 to 96 kHz, with a D/A dynamic range of 112 dB. Built for live sound, broadcast and installed systems where reliability matters, it has dual built-in power supplies for redundancy and a character/graphic display for quick visual confirmation of settings and status. Multiple units can be combined for larger systems. The chassis measures 480 x 220 x 368 mm, weighs 13.5 kg and runs on 100 - 240 V AC with a typical consumption of 120 W. Yamaha notes that this unit is intended to be integrated into a system by a qualified integrator.
