The Zebra DS3678 is a rugged, cordless 2D area-imaging barcode scanner built for tough environments — warehouses, manufacturing floors, logistics and field service — where a standard handheld scanner wouldn't survive drops or dust. It's rated Industrial Green (Zebra's toughest DS36xx housing tier) with a vibration motor for silent good-read feedback, useful on a noisy factory floor or when audible beeps aren't wanted. It supports Direct Part Marking (DPM) reading — decoding barcodes etched or stamped directly onto metal, plastic or PCB components rather than printed labels — and carries FIPS certification for use in security-sensitive government or enterprise environments. As a cordless model it pairs with a charging/communication cradle (sold separately) for wireless scanning untethered from the host system.
