The Zebra FXR90 is an ultra-rugged, fixed (permanently mounted) UHF RFID reader built for outdoor and industrial installations such as loading dock doors, yard entrances and warehouse portals where equipment must withstand weather and harsh conditions rather than being handheld. It includes an integrated cross-polarised linear antenna (reading tags reliably regardless of their orientation), Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6 for setup and data connectivity, and 5G capability for network connectivity where wired infrastructure isn't practical. Fixed readers like this are used for automated inventory and asset tracking as goods or vehicles pass a doorway or checkpoint, without needing a person to scan each item manually.
